How do we get to Anguilla? - Posted: 04 Jan, 2007

There are 2 options:

  1. Fly directly to Anguilla on American Airlines (through the US and Puerto Rico)

  1. Fly into St. Maarten and take the ferry to Anguilla. US Airways, American Airlines, and Airtransat are the best options here. The ferry dock in St. Maarten is 20 mins from the airport by cab and the ferry ride to Anguilla takes 18 mins from there.

All-inclusive in St. Maarten - Posted: 04 Jan, 2007

Another, less expensive option is to stay in St. Maarten at an all inclusive resort and come to Anguilla for the day of the wedding. Unfortunately you would need to arrange for accomodation for the night of the wedding as the last ferry back to St. Maarten leaves at 6:15pm.

All-inclusive vacations can be arranged through Airtransat. There are departures from both Toronto and Montreal. The all inclusive hotel in St. Maarten that we recommend is The Sonesta Maho Beach Resort. It is 4 stars and has a great pool.

Westin Dawn Beach This hotel is a brand new 308 room resort style hotel. Rates average around $200 US a night. http://www.starwoodhotels.com/westin/property/overview/index.html?propertyID=1770

St. Maarten is a much more lively island with plenty of shopping, gambling and partying going on. Anguilla is very quiet and laid back with incredible beaches. It depends what you are looking for!
